At Houston Dog Ranch, we have developed a learning environment that fosters the relationship between dogs and their owners by improving understanding and communication.  Teaching owners and their dogs to work together in order to build a lasting bond of trust and love is our goal.

We believe that, while all dogs are created equal, they are in fact individual and unique to themselves.  Personality and learning styles are important factors in choosing a training program.  At Houston Dog Ranch we offer training programs to fit your dog’s needs.  Our trainer will help guide you to the program that will work best for you and your dog.

Private Lessons
Our one-hour private lessons are designed to teach you how to train your own dog.  You will learn how to use proven training methods to train your dog in any area in which you need assistance.  Lessons are specifically designed for each owner and their dog.  This is also a good opportunity for full family participation.

Behavior Counseling
Dogs have intricate behaviors and diverse learning styles.  These factors coupled with adjusting to the human world can be confusing.  Whatever the problem, the trainers at Houston Dog Ranch can help.  Behavior modification can be successful with owner commitment, understanding, love, time, and patience.  Sessions last 1 to 1 ½ hours

Aggression Counseling
Agression comes in all forms and varying degrees.  Unfortunately, left untreated the problems typically get worse and can even manifest into other forms of aggression and behavior problems.  Most aggression problems can be changed or managed with the full commitment and dedication of the entire family.  Aggression is a serious problem that can lead to physical injury.  Some cases require lifelong training and management while others unfortunately, cannot ever be overcome.  It’s not an easy situation, but we’re here to help.  Sessions last 1 to 1 ½ hours.
